Constance Lombardo received her BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University. She then moved to Manhattan and studied painting and printmaking at the Art Students League of NYC. In San Francisco, she interned with muralist Susan Cervantes of Precita Eyes Mural Center and worked on murals with elementary school kids.
She’s been an active member of the SCBWI for years and founded the Asheville based writers group The Secret Gardeners. Her illustrations have appeared in New Moon Girls magazine, Girlfriends magazine and the SCBWI Bulletin. She also completed two children’s book writing classes through the Great Smokies Writing Program at UNCA. She wrote and illustrated two middle grade novels, Mr. Puffball: Stunt Cat to the Stars, and Mr. Puffball: Stunt Cat Across America (HarperCollins.)
At least two more exciting cat tales featuring Mr. Puffball are in the works. She is represented by Lori Nowicki of Painted Words. Plus she likes cats. And cake. But not at the same time.
