Living the Asheville dream (or stereotype), Paige is a writer and editor, wife and mom, recovering publishing executive, active volunteer, and certified yoga instructor. She’s spent most of her professional life communicating to readers about subjects ranging from food and travel to outdoor education, healthcare, and fundraising—not to mention knitting, stitching, beading, printmaking, and most other DIY pursuits. As editorial director of at Lark Books, she managed the publishing strategy for the craft imprint of Sterling Publishing/Barnes & Noble, leading a team of more than 20 editorial and art professionals to acquire, develop, and produce a diverse program of print books, digital initiatives, and new products to serve the craft community. These days, she teaches yoga classes at studios, gyms, community centers, offices, private homes, and a Zen center. She focuses on helping students calm those babbling voices and hear the teacher within—just as the talented AWITS team tries to do for young writers in the schools. Paige also co-chairs the board of directors at The Learning Community School in Black Mountain, NC.
